24 Hour Relay Challenge May 19, 20, 2018

Last Relay – The Rain

This year the relay was a wash out. This is the first time in 24 years this has happened. The relay is our major fund raiser for the year and without it a lot of programs would not be possible. Keeping in mind that we had bought supplies and food to support everyone we thought this year would be a total loss. Not just zero income but a lot of expenses that would have cut into fund raising well into next year.

Somehow we underestimated the citizens of Abington. We would like to thank everyone who turned their registration fee into a donation to CAPT. We are extremely grateful for your kindness. Your generosity has made it possible to carry on  programs. That means we can still buy shirts, and workbooks for the DARE students, have money for Mini grants, support Abington’s Youth Aid Panel, and support our Kids in Safety Seats program. These are a few of the ways CAPT supports Abington.

Next Relay – The Rainbow

Let’s put last year in the past and think about next year. It will be the relays 25th year and a milestone few thought we would achieve. We will be planning special events to mark our Silver Anniversary. Hope you can join us.
