The Relay was a great hit this year. It was our second year at the new location. We changes the field layout to allow for better communication to the tent areas. It worked so well it has become our new standard.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the 9/11 tribute. At 9:11 PM all runners walked a lap while holding a glow stick. The show of respect was overwhelming.
The food committee made sure no one went hungry. The meals were tasty as well as the snacks that were available almost around the clock.
Abington Fire Company was there to demonstrate the job of a fire fighter. You could don the firefighting gear, operate a fire extinguisher, and see what it’s like inside a fire scene by entering a smoke tent. Please consider entering the Junior Fire Fighter Program.
Our volunteers were incredible. A total of over 1600 hours were worked. This event would not happen without them.
We hope to see you next year at our 22nd annual 24 Hour Relay Challenge.
